Letter from Bryan Mulligan...[Author]

We look forward to seeing you at the ITE Show in Pittsburgh. We will be demonstrating Intelligent Control, and WEB Direct for Signs, with the new Intelight range of Traffic Controllers. Intelight is Craig Gardeners’ new company, and they are releasing on the US market their new controller products. Both companies are committed to the NTCIP set of standards and embedded WEB services. This combination has proved VERY powerful! Come and see the results….

The NTCIP Joint Committee met via teleconference this month, and progressed several standards. The 1209 Standard (version 2), with features for Video detection, is coming out for User Comment Draft. The NTCIP accommodation of the new Daylight Saving is proving vexatious to accommodate sensibly in the standard, but the Base Standards working group has a solution, and is committed to getting this out as soon as possible…

We completed a project this month with Telvent Farradyne that included an interesting deployment of our NTCIP Proxy Server application. It was a dramatic success story for NTCIP, and how the NTCIP standards provided a very effective way of integrating new technology with old technology. See the accompanying article…

Enjoy this copy of Intelligent News.  Until next time…

Bryan Mulligan
