The traffic controller trade show season has passed this month, with the  ITE Show in Pittsburgh and the IMSA Show in Louisville. I attended the ITE conference, and saw that the exhbit hall was particularly poorly attended by City and State procurement officials. Vendors were generally disappointed. Booths were much smaller than in previous years, and the trade show just looked as if it was on the decline. It is imperative as an industry that we find a way for State and City procurement officials to travel, so that they can educate themselves on the latest technologies. (read more)

Parking Guidance – The New ITS Application Area...

It is common in Europe to see signs showing the availability of parking spaces, while in the USA it is equally common to see frustrated drivers driving around, fruitlessly looking for a parking space. However, this seems to be changing. Intelligent Devices is busy with systems at JFK Airport, and other airports and shopping malls internationally, to change this. (read more)
