Letter from Bryan Mulligan...
After taking a break from the news letters for the last couple of months, my enthusiasm has returned! 2008 looks to be a very good year for Intelligent Devices. We have recently completed several of our outstanding projects, and are set to work on some new and exciting orders as well.
The NTCIP Joint Committee met via teleconference this month, and continues to advance a number of documents through the Standards process. We are particularly pleased at the care that is now being taken in the Standards Making process to ensure that products and systems deployed to the new standards will be backwards compatible with deployments made to the previous versions of the Standards. Intelligent Devices has strived to make products that reflect our expertise in NTCIP development for a number of different applications and are proud to be a part of the NTCIP Joint Committee.
One such application is WEBDirect. This technology allows customers to access our NTCIP conformant device controllers directly over the Internet, without a Central Software system at all. We have an innovative deployment of this technology underway, which I describe more fully in the article attached…
In other news, we are proud that Intelligent Devices has been awarded a contract this month for the supply of the first 100 quantity of NTCIP Snow Plow Interface controllers for the South Dakota DOT. These devices promise to provide communication, information and monitoring of plowing operations which will substantially increase efficiency, and reduce cost.
